About the use of the Bioprost® suppositories in the treatment of chronic prostatitis.

Chronic bacterial and non-bacterial prostatitis has gained currency both among young and elderly men. About 40 % of men under 35 suffer from this illness that is why the appearance of Bioprost® on the pharmaceutical market is very timely.

Symptoms of chronic prostatitis vary and are not necessarily connected to pain, urination disorders and erectile function disorders but affect the psychological state of patients.

The original formula of the suppositories containing pumpkin seed oil, which is a source of vitamins and microelements, and thymic acid, which is a natural antiseptic. This composition provides penetration of the drug into the afflicted areas of the prostate gland. The drug can be used for a durable period of time because it doesn’t contain any hormonal components.

The results of the application of the rectal suppositories Bioprost® in medical practice are as follows: 32 patients having chronic prostatitis in the acute phase (27-bacterial и 5-abacterial) underwent a course of the drug. 18 patients showed good results after 30 days of using the drug (positive dynamics of the prostatic secret, reduced pain, normalizing of urination, restored erectile ability, improved psychological state), 12 showed satisfactory results.

Two patients didn’t see any change in their state after the treatment.

I consider that Bioprost®, manufactured by Intelpharm®, improves the standard of living of the patients, gives self-confidence, reduces inflammation in the prostate gland, has bacteriostatic and analgesic effect, relieves urination, restores erectile ability, increases psychological comfort – in general it is a good medicine for the treatment of chronic prostatitis.
